About sffworld.com

Welcome to sffworld.com, one of the largest SF and Fantasy sites on the Internet today. All run by a bunch of volunteers who invest of their spare time to make this possible. Here you can get to know a few of the people that make this site possible.

If you're interested in joining the staff look here.

Dag Rambraut

I'm the one who started the whole site as a hobby back in 1997 and over the years it has grown to be what it is today, still just a hobby by the way. The site is also run from Norway. Enjoy!

Gary Wassner - homepage

I am an author, businessman, father and moderator here at SFFWorld. I write Epic Fantasy and I write children's books.

I am now in the middle of the fifth book in my GemQuest series. The GemQuest books, The Twins, The Awakening and The Shards will be in the stores by the first week in February. In addition, Mondo Publishing in New York City is releasing in September of 2006 the first in a series of Young Adult mysteries that I wrote last year.

I absolutely adore Science Fiction and Fantasy World. I log on every day, read the posts, moderate my own author's forum, and think about what threads I can start that might be provocative, informative and fun for everyone.

Owen Jones - homepage

James Long

I'm James and am from Guildford in the UK. I graduated from Cardiff University with a 2.1 in History and am now in Manchester studying for an MA. My specialist area is Caribbean piracy 1715-1726. I'm a big Chelsea FC fan and like most rock music - Pearl Jam, Live, HIM, etc.

I was first introduced to fantasy by the Fighting Fantasy series. My favourite authors are Feist, Gemmell, Marco and Martin. I am currently writing a fantasy novel as well as various other shorter works.

Here at SFFworld I write official book reviews and help out with the games section, doing game reviews and collecting industry news.

My email is James_Long@hotmail.co.uk

Rob Bedford - homepage

I've been hanging around here and helping out for almost 5 years now, moderating forums, writing book reviews, and interviewing authors.

This Web site, and the forum specifically, have brought me into contact with alot of great people like Dag, Gary, Mark and Sammie.

In addition to meeting some great folks, the forums are a great place to learn about different authors and books. Drop by the forums

Jeannie Langston

I am a 29 year old single mother of 2. My passion is the written word, whether it be reading it or writing it. I am working toward an english degree.

Martin Austwick - homepage

Martin is a thirty one year old part time nurse, part time bladesmith who lives in the UK. He loves mediaeval history, hitting things with hammers, and driving too fast. He writes to try and keep the demons quiet and has even been known to have the odd thing published. If he ever grows up he’d like to be Iain Banks please.

Michael Skeparnides

Jason Damman

Hi. I'm 19 from Sydney, Australia. I joined sffworld late 2003. My Favourite author is Stephen King and favourite genre is fantasy.

I've always loved writing, even from a young age. I would write many short stories. Sure, they were nothing more than mere childhood attempts at putting some ideas together, but I understood what I was writing, and my ideas.

Now I can put across my ideas a whole lot better than from when I was a kid. I love how you can create your own world and characters, you can decide what happens to them and what they go through. I want to some day be published. To me, writing is more than just words. To me, and many others like me, it's a whole different world.

Michael Montgomery

Matt Anderson

Matt is fresh meat for the Games section, hired on to take the load off of SFFworld's overly-prolific Games guru kater. You might see him around the forums, hiding behind the veil of Zanzibar, but don't get too close. You don't know what he'll do if he hasn't had his pudding...

Juliana Groisman

I feel old when I count the years I have been reading science fiction and fantasy even if to others I appear my usual mid-twenties self.

Reading is my first love, anything that challenged and inspired me usually turned out to be from the science fiction and fantasy genre so I suppose it was only a matter of time before I discovered this site. I shall be providing my humble contributions to the movie and literature sections.

Arthur Bangs - homepage

Andrei Gireada - homepage

:) Well, I am CEO to a company that is into the gamedevelopment industry. In my spare time I read fantasy books and do stuff here for sffworld.com. Also from tme to time I write all kind of wierd stories... SO beware the innocent!
