| Biography |
| Terry Brooks has been a writer since high school, his first novel was The Sword of Shannara. This was the first book of aseries that has made him world famous in his genre. Many says that he started of by "copying" Tolkien, but from a somehowshaky start you could already see from his second book that he was starting to develop his own style. Terry Brooks was bornin Illinois in 1944. He received his undergraduate degree from Hamilton College, where he majored in English Literature, andhis graduate degree from the School of Law at Washington & Lee University. He did for some time practice as an attorney aswell as writing books, but is now a full time author. He is currently living in the Pacific Northwest with his wife Judine. |
