Galen Kaufman comes from the Mennonite culture - his father was a minister and missionary for the church in Indonesia. Born 1964 and grew up mostly in Minnesota and Kansas. First trained as a veterinarian and now teach and run a lab at UTMB in Galveston, TX. Studying how the brain adapts to different gravity conditions. Hold patent for carbonated fruit and vegetables, i.e. FizzyFruit. Favorite sci-fi authors: Clarke, Lem, Dick, Bulychev.
