My Kingdom
         by Aisho

My kingdom has a place,
Deep within my soul,
Where no eyes can surmise
What it may hold.

In it lie many magical things,
That none can comprehend.
Horses that fly with silver wings,
Dreams that have no end.

A magic mirror,
For which to see through,
And a world of unicorns,
All tied together without a trace of scorn.

Elves that stand both tall and wise,
Fairies small and plump,
Little teeny butterflies,
And a camel with no hump.

My kingdom has a place,
Deep within my soul.
Where no eyes can surmise
What is may hold.

It is there that I retreat,
Whenever danger is near,
To read a book
To add a land
To my ever growing nook.

Then when all is safe I say goodbye
To my great crowds of friends,
To greet the many more faces
And life's many more bends.

When I return,
To my surprise,
Without any danger that came by,
I come upon a lake.

This lake is like no other,
Still and reflecting the sky.
No trees for any sort cover,
Nor does any being pass by.

This lake, to my dismay,
Let's no one but me in,
But then I come to think,
They are here but not in skin.

My kingdom has a place,
Deep within my soul,
Where no eyes can surmise
What it may hold.

For now,
The key to this world
None but me can hold.
Forever it is locked away,
For no eyes to behold.
