My Home Is The Ocean by Christopher Allan
So Lovers tide came, for both you and me
And my lovers eyes said "our home is now the sea"
But on this we both seemed to not agree
For your eyes did say "a prisoner to the sea?"
So it appeared we each had a different notion.
Over spending eternity in the ocean?
And now looking back, not recalling,
Digesting any kind of love potion
For another love, I'll never have emotion
So I decided still, my home is now the ocean
And with it, I subdue, to its every motion
So tight in a bottle, here I'll stay
For hope that my lover, on one sunny day
Shall reach out her hand, deep into my bay
And climb in my bottle, for eternity to lay
But until this day, in this bottle I'll stay
So dancy forever I can remain
With vibrato that shakes just like pain
So forever in the seas endless abyss,
I'll pay prelude to abominable bliss
So if you find my bottle
Keep the cork on tight
And for god's sakes, throw it back
With all of your might
Because it's only for my lover to open
And every day I am dearly hoping--
I'll see her face from beneath the ocean
But until this day, I will surely stay
Just this way
