The flight was rough and bumpy, but the bush pilot handled his small dual engine floatplane in full confidence as they flew over the dark marshes, and the small communities on the edge of the everglades.

Vaton had been silent during the whole flight back to civilization. His mind was busy processing the series of dramatic events that had happened to them during the last few days. The dual-reality he had been living in had been very confusing and he was occupied with trying to organize his thoughts. He was fully aware that the moment of truth had arrived, which almost took him by surprise. He recalled Diane's conversation with Uvigadva. It made his skin shiver with goose bumps when he thinks of her relaxed and serene state of being immediately following their conversation.

Vaton had tried several times to get in touch with Uvigadva during the flight but he never was successful. Diane's powerful mind was alert and at its fullest potential, sealing off any inner communication strings toward Uvigadva.

Vaton was thrilled, scared and happy all at the same time, recalling the development of the last day's events. He knew that an honest, open discussion would follow shortly after their arrival to the house, and he was not prepared. He didn't know how to handle it.

In the back of his mind he was still amazed at the way the human body responded and cooperated in his desperate effort to save the group, back there at the abandoned sugarcane mill. The life-saving "blood drop" which helped them get away from their deadly enemy was triggered by Vaton, of course. But, despite Vaton's influence, the human body still performed miraculous bio-chemical reactions in order to make the "bubble" come alive. And it had done it in a completely different way than the Vestal-Ozuru body would have performed. It was Geofrey's human body expanding its limits under Vaton's foreign powers.

The Vestal life-saving spheres were bred into their bodies for generations of refined genetic implantation and testing. And yet, the human body produced the same effects with no genetic preparation, or alterations, whatsoever. Vaton was fascinated by this new discovery. There was so much to this miraculous, mixed-up human civilization. So much to learn from and share with his own race. This intergalactic odyssey was one of the most challenging and thrilling of all the numerous journeys Vaton had previously embarked upon. In particular, these two special Humans, they were sharing their lives with, were especially fascinating.

Vaton's heart filled with an inner warmth he was unaccustomed to when he thought of his two Human friends. He felt like hugging Diane, holding her tight in his arms, smelling the discreet perfume of her long hair and...suddenly Vaton, as he watched Diane sitting in front of him, felt a powerful emotion pounding in his chest, blocking his respiratory avenues.

Minutes later, after the storming of emotions slowly waded out a trifle, he realized that for a brief moment he shared Geoffrey's very own emotions towards his wife. The feeling was so warm and powerful, so upliftingly beautiful that Vaton started to cry.

Large tears were welling up in his tired eyes and rolling down his cheeks. Taken aback by this new overpowering emotion his restless mind connected the emotion with his own, trying to associate a recognizable similarity in his own Vestal-Ozuru being.

Feeling the inner storm rampaging through his palpitating arteries, he suddenly visualized Titinee, his beloved life-mate, "wife," in human terms. His tired eyes launched another stream of tears. "LOVE," Vaton whispered in a small voice recalling some of the human laser disk information retrieved from the mysterious human capsule.

Overwhelmed by powerful emotions strange to his heart, he looked at Peter sitting next to him. Peter was watching attentively as lights came and went under the plane's body. That same storming emotion overpowered him again as his mind was frantically looking for the connection. Moments later, Chical, his own little son, came into clear focus making Vaton's human heart beat at a frantic pace.
