Perplex Vision 2000 (Book Excerpt) by Michael Anka
Page 9 of 10 While Diane and Peter were making small conversation, the wheels were turning
in Vaton's mind. He felt good this morning, indeed. During the night, after
Diane was finally asleep, he managed to connect with Uvigadva. She filled him
in on all the details of their escape and her lengthy conversation with Diane
about their alien origins.
Both, Vaton and Uvigadva alike, decided to lay the truth on the table for
everybody sometime during the next day. The time was finally right. Diane and
Geoffrey, now fully aware of the situation, were ready for the truth. They had
the right to know. Both, Vaton and Uvigadva agreed upon that and they decided
to let Peter in on it all as well. The boy gave them extremely good vibrations.
His young, unbiased, curious and knowledge-thirsty mind deserved the truth.
"I'm ready, Vaton," Diane said abruptly, turning toward him and looking into
his eyes. "Let's have it. The truth. Once again."
Knowing Diane, Vaton was prepared for the direct approach. He knew her fairy
well by now. In fact, he knew all along that she was just itching to get out
from the immediate danger surrounding them and learn about everything. That was
Diane, and Vaton loved her enormously for that.
"I don't exactly know where to start, Diane. I had a chance to connect with
Uvigadva last night while you were asleep, and she filled me in on the
conversation the two of you had in the last few days. She told me all about the
way you escaped from the terrorist base. Geoffrey knows also. I filled him in
as well..."
"Slow down, Vaton. What do you mean, you filled him in?" asked Diane.
"What I mean is exactly that, Diane. Geoff and I finally communicate on the
conscious level. We had all along, at the deep, subconscious level. That's how,
as you well know by now, I knew all the little secrets between the two of you.
It's the same way I helped him operate on Peter's mother and helped you tap
into you knowledge banks during some of your stressful, delicate brain
surgeries."
"You mean, it was you two making the life and death decisions, for me as I
operated on dying children?" Diane's blood raced into her cheeks.
"No. No. No, Diane. By all means, no. Just give me a moment to explain.
Everything you and Geoffrey had performed on the professional level, were you
two all the way. We will get to that later, when we try somehow to show you how
we simply guided you to look in the right direction for the right answers. I
think you Humans call it "The Akashik Files" or something like that. We call it
"Universal Wisdom". Some very gifted people can access those files almost
instantly, but those people are very rare and most of them would not have the
systematic knowledge to apply them properly. You and Geoffrey, and other highly
trained professionals in your chosen fields, are only a whisper away from it.
Usually, the enormous pressure you operate under in your profession, builds a
wall between yourselves and the "knowledge files" denying you access to the
valuable information which could save a life, a whole family or even an entire
race."
"I just barely follow you, Vaton. Geoffrey, my husband, he has a much more
in-depth understanding of these things. Is he here with us, now?"
"I'm with you, beautiful," Geoffrey said, and both Peter and Diane
immediately noticed a change in the tone of voice, it really was Geoffrey, not
simply a fabrication produced by Vaton. "Diane, give Vaton a chance to talk
freely. He's a good friend of ours. And besides, I'm here with you. Don't
worry, bellissima."
Diane couldn't help but smile when he heard Geoffrey calling her the name he
used to call her in the freshmen year, when the two first met in Med School.
"I love you, too, Geoff. I'm so happy to hear your voice. How's it hanging?"
Diane asked smiling.
"Oh. It's hanging, Diane. You'll excuse our foul language, Peter," Geoffrey
said, turning toward Peter who was chuckling away with teary eyes.
"I'm right with you, guys. This is fascinating stuff," Peter addressed
Vaton-Geoffrey.
"We're in good hands, Diane," Geoffrey resumed. There was so much genuine
energy in her husband's voice that Diane looked deeply into Vaton's eyes. She
recognized Geoff looking back at her. "Trust me," he said softly.
Peter, who was listening carefully to the conversation between Geoffrey and
Diane, was all eyes and ears. He was fascinated by this unique event. Copyright© 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 Michael Anka, sffworld.com. All rights reserved. No part of this may be reproduced or reprinted without permission in writing from the author.
