Death Angels

Death angels are the spirits that guide the dead on their way to eternity. Many have trouble accepting death. Others understand at once. The many death angels cannot be counted for they are as numerous as the deaths each day. The angles are eternal and if you were to know one of them Oh the centuries of sadness they could tell you of. There is a certain evidence of their existence, a small hardly noticeable sign. Death Angels. Mushrooms grown from their tears and very deadly to humans. If you're are thinking that angels don't cry, you're wrong, they cry every time.

Benny woke in the dark again and saw a figure sitting in the corner. An unnatural glow surrounded it.

"Hullo. I've seen you before."

The tall man nodded, "yes I've been here before for the rest of your brothers and sisters."

Benny looked around him at the bodies lying here and there. Then he looked back at the angel, "Are you going to take me away from here?"

"Yes."

Benny smiled, "I'd like that. I'm not really happy here...even though Kent says I am."

"I know."

Benny tried to sit up but his arms had gone numb.

"I don't think I can walk. Kent broke my legs 'caus I was too sick to work."

"That's ok I'll carry you."

Benny smiled again as tears fell down his cheeks.

"When will we go?"

"when your sister gets here."

Suddenly they heard a thud as the basement door flew open. The angel stood up and went to Benny's side. A young girl was thrown down the stairs. Kent followed.

"YOU LAZY BRAT," Kent yelled.

Benny and the angel watched as Kent beat the girl. Benny tried to cry out to him to stop, but his voice wouldn't work. Finally, Kent finished and went back upstairs to beat on his wife. "She don't die like those nasty kids she keeps have'n," he muttered slamming the door shut.

"Sandy?" Benny called. "Mister, I gotta see Sandy. I think Kent killed her." The angel picked up Benny and took him over to Sandy's side.

"Sandy! Are you o.k?"

Sandy moaned and tried to move. The angel helped her to sit up and gently picked her up with his other arm leaving her body behind.

"It's gonna be o.k. Sandy. He's gonna take us away from here." Benny touched Sandy's arm.

"I know Benny," Sandy answered. With out looking back Challcaler carried the children away.

J.P. grinned and stepped on the gas. Jessica paled in the seat beside him. Jacob in the back laughed nervously.

Trina, sitting beside Jacob, gasped, "God J.P. slow down."

"Why?" J.P. smirked, "you scared?" J.P changed lanes once again as he zipped around cars at 70 miles per hour.

Jacob uttered a nervous laugh and clenched his hands into tight fists.

"*#@*," screamed Jessica as they swerved around a Minivan. J.P. just laughed.

"Wow! Now this is fun." Suddenly a truck was in front of them. J.P cursed and turned hard to the right. They flipped several times then smashed into a tree off the side of the highway.

Just as suddenly as it started it was over. J.P. was aware of a pain in his legs and back. He tried to look around to see the others but his head wouldn't move.

Then he was aware of a face looking down on him into the car and he realized that the car was on its side.

"*#@* man, get me out of here. I can't move."

The face disappeared.

"Hey don't leave me here." J.P. screamed.

He squirmed in his seat then grabbed hold of the windowsill and pulled himself upright.
