"they can't just change the time like that and expect any one to show up...... But the problem isn't with the others It's with the morons running the stupid show.....you have got to be kidding me."

Julia parked her car and got out.

"But that gives us only an hour to reschedule our whole day......But it's not necessary......I knooooow they're the one's paying us, but their also the ones firing us when we don't meet our deadlines."

Julia left the parking garage and headed for the office building.

"Cindy, you have got to talk to them......Why! Because it's your job......Yah well the rest of us are losing our jobs."

Julia started across the street.

"God! And on top of that they want the files before......"

Julia was interrupted by a squeal of brakes behind her. She turned around and gasped. A huge truck was stopped right behind her and a pair of legs stuck out from underneath it.

"Oh my god!" she breathed. Then she realized that her cell phone was gone. She looked around for it and saw it lying next to the dead body under the truck she took a step towards it then heard a voice behind her.

"You're one of those to busy to die ones. Aren't you?"

Julia turned around to look at the tall man standing behind her.

"Excuse me. Are you talking to me?"

The man turned his head to one side, but never took his eyes off of her. He spread his wings then folded them back in.

"Who do you think I was talking to?"

Julia smiled, "well I suppose you were talking to the person who just got hit."

"I was."

Julia stopped smiling. She turned and looked at the body lying under the truck. A crowd had gathered, but no one was paying any attention to her or the angel.

The angel walked up to her, "are you ready yet? Or do you need some more time?"

Julia shook her head but no words came out.

"if you want we can go look at the body first, so you know I'm not trying to trick you or something."

Julia swallowed, "but...I haven't gotten married yet. I've never even had a boyfriend. I...I...can't die yet."

Quesilta shrugged his shoulders and held out his hand, "no one has a choice once their time is up."

Julia turned away from her body and took his hand.

Bandime
(bad days)

Cassia Ben amah held her child close to her. Her husband, Hasi Ben amah, had left three days ago when they had run out of water. She knew he was probably dead by now because he had not yet returned. She too would die, of dehydration. After the drought had dried up most of their wells they had started losing crops and herds as well. And now she who had once had the riches husband in their village and everything she had ever wanted now knew what it was to have nothing.

A noise outside her door made her look up. A tall, pale man stepped inside and behind him followed her husband.

"Hasi?" she said in surprise. "Hasi, you're dead."

More people entered and begin to fill the room. Small and tall, young and old, they crowded the room deformed from starvation.

"Yes Cassia." Hasi looked at the man who had led the crowd. The tall man moved to Cassia's side and held his arms out for the baby. His wings seemed to fill the room and cover every one of the souls.

"No!" Cassia held the child tight, "Not Jijin." She looked away from the unwavering gaze of the angel.

"Cassia," Hasi spoke, "there is no one left to care for him." He touched her arm and the baby.
