"Why does it have to be like this?" Remy asked almost regretfully, maintaining his fighting stance.

"Because we are nothing but tools in a post-apocalyptic society," Ketsura's reply seemed as if it did not want to come out of his mouth. "I guess our loyalties have changed, haven't they?" He raised his sword high and delived a downward thrust. Black energy suddenly erupted from Ketsura's sword and hit the unexpected Remy full force. Remy staggered back before he finally fell to the ground.

"You haven't changed," laughed Remy hoarsely.

"Nor have you," Ketsura laughed, trying to relish what time he had left with his dear friend. "Your judgment is as bad as ever. I would have expected you to pick a better guild than this."

Ketsura slowly approached and prepared to deliver the final blow when Remy countered. Remy's sword drove upward through Ketsura, while Ketsura's sword was drove downward, impaling his friend, Remy.

"I'm sorry it had to end this way," stuttered Ketsura, as blood streamed the ends of his mouth. "Small world isn't it." Ketsura then collapsed onto the now lifeless corpse formerly known as Remy DeBarge.

Forgetful of friendship and pushed by duty, two life-long childhood friends were forced to murder each other in all but cold blood. Driven by gang loyalty, these friends, and in many ways brothers, were forced to forget their childhood and duel to the bitter end. You never know whom you could lose when dealing with a gang.
