Issac screamed, causing Zeke to step forward, only a few precious inches out of the creatures grasp. When Zeke realized what had just occured his eyes got wide and his mouth dropped open. Issac screamed again and we all began screaming in unision with him, creating a choir of fright.

We were all following Zeke out of the tent a moment later, running at full speed, screaming at the top of our lungs the entire time out. As we emerged we didn't stop, continuing to run all the way to the parking lot on the other side of the fair grounds. All the whole time I could hear Dr. Winston's deep gritty laugh following us.

We kept the event a secret among us, most of all to keep anyone from learning how truly scared we were. Eventually our parents rounded us up and we were taken home.

During the ride I home I kept quiet, even attempting to speak was a battle, as both of my sisters chatted away with my brother about the prizes they had won, while my mother and father tried to listen to music from the radio.

That night, the prophecy of Dr. Winston was quite true, my sleep was plagued with nightmares. I found little comfort in the darkness of my room.
