"Lieutenant, what about the others farther up?" I held the communicator; beads of sweat fell off my face as I held it firmly to my lip.

"Code Delta, Zulu, Plato! Foray into retreat mode! I repeat, foray into retreat mode! All units cover the flanks and hurry!" Static is heard. Then...

"Plato! This is Draco! What is the Relay point?"

"Pass the Dead Zone. Try to get the others over here!"

"It’s hell out here Lieutenant! How much time do we have left?"

"One second Draco!" I switched the channels. "Commander Troy, how long do we have left before detonation?" Some more static was heard. Then some weapons fire...

"Lieutenant," Troy’s voice blared back. "I’m about two hundred yards to the north! It’s one hell of a hot zone here! The detonation sequence has not been activated yet."

"How much more time before you activate..." BOOM! Lieutenant Swift’s ear rang out for a moment from the noise. As he looked to the Commanders direction, a huge explosion was there. "Commander Troy!" No answer. The others near me knew what had just happened. They looked at me; I had to be strong.

"Prepare you’re evacuation once I give you the order! And cover me, I’m going after the Commander." The soldier nodded, he looked over to two other men.

"You two go with the Lieutenant." And with that I charged my MAT 56. As the three of us got out from the shadow of the J.T. everything ran in slow motion for me. Light reflected off the faces of the two soldiers as the cover fire was firing next to us. We ran forward, it was a clear spot, about five hundred soldiers in my field of view, the majority of them firing against Alpha Drones and Delta Drones in the air. The gigantic Alpha Drones didn’t die easily, especially with that armor. Dead or dying soldiers were at my feet, screaming in pain. We moved quickly through the mist, at one moment two Alpha Drones had their backs to us, all three of us blasted the hell out of their tails.

"I hope it hurts you bastard!" I yelled at it. They both gave a monstrous shriek as bright orange blood sprayed us. Thankfully the amount of firepower we had neutralized them. We kept on running.

"Lieutenant." The first soldier said to me. "Where is the Comman-AHHHHHH!" His stomach burst out at me, and a four-foot blade was coming out of him. One of the Alpha Drones that we had just shot got him. They never had blades on their arms before. He was lifted a bit into the air, the Alpha Drone looked at us, it’s face bloodstained. It gave out a loud growling. "Shoot it!" The Soldier pleaded to us. "Shoot me also!"

Both the other soldier and I blast the Alpha Drone,

also hitting the man. A swift death for him. No pain. The monster slumped over to the side. The other soldier kept

shooting at it as it lay on the ground.

"Don’t waste your ammo." I told him; we began to run again. This is war. Hell’s worst day. We kept on swooping forward, explosions and fire everywhere. We took cover near a flipped over Battle Truck. As we did this so did other Blue-Stripes in the area. It was a hot zone.

"Who are you guys?" One of them said to us.

"Lieutenant Swift, have you seen the Commander?"

"Commander Troy..." He looked over the Battle Truck. "Further up, he went in through an area where we have some soldiers cut off. About fifty yards ahead." I looked over to the other soldier. He nodded.

"Cover us guys." We ran out, sprinting towards the area.
