The Battle for Humanity (Part One) (11 ratings) by C.K. Banner
Page 12 of 12 30 seconds. It was probably one of their aircraft. I didn’t hurt myself
thankfully. I was up at my feet instantly. The Device still on my back.
20 seconds. I looked up; all around me were Omega Drones. They all stood
weapons raised at me. God they’re scary. All had horns on their heads. They had
blood red eyes. Demons, no other way to explain them. 10 seconds. One of them
made a noise at me. Then I could hear him in my head.
"You are the one in a place of authority among your men?
Yes. I know about you." I just stared at it. "You are surprised we have the
method of controlling your thoughts? For when we celebrate, it will be because
of your inaction earlier."
3 seconds.
"I act now." I said to it. "See ya in Hell." BEEP! BEEP!
It looked surprised. It no doubt could now understand why I made it into
their fleet. He snapped back. But it was too late. I remember it happened in a
microsecond. All of a sudden everything was whiter than white. The mist
engulfed me and every Egaji around me. The White Death was a more appropriate
name. Egaji Tanks stopped as its occupants also died. Their hover and aircrafts
crashed as they got within the axis of me. I knew that we would go on, so when
I took my last glance at reality, I felt at ease with my choice. I remembered
hearing Daniel’s words from earlier.
"I would die for this cause. I know all those others would have to."
That’s damn straight Daniel.

We look at the back of a man as he stares into a screen in the Central
Chamber. It’s the Admiral.
"Admiral!" A voice shouts, "Admiral Swift!" The Admiral looks back at the
subordinate.
"Yes?"
"Your son has died in combat Admiral." The subordinate says regretfully. The
Admiral looks down for a second. Then with
tears in his eyes...
"How?"
"He set off the Purity Device inside the Egaji stronghold. The Battle at
Mozambique was won because of him."
"And Commander Val?"
"He has reached the Weapon in Europa. They’re on standby for you."
"Very Good."
