"How? We don’t know yet. But its there, hidden in the most unlikely of places."

"We will be sending a small force of Elect with heavy protection to the island. At this same time a diversion will be created for them." The Admiral, waves his hand and a new map appears. "About twelve hundred miles to the North of Mozambique an impressive Armada of Egaji Forces is forming. They’re in Kenya and are moving through the Great Rift Valley. This plateau stretches for thousands of miles and connects the Middle East through Africa down to Mozambique. By our calculations, they should reach the island in twelve hours." The Admiral looks over to Commander Val. "We’re going to divide your men into two groups, the first will be led by you into Europa." Commander Val nods.

"Protection?" He asks.

"You will have three thousand Blue Stripes accompany you, ground and aerial armada. And anything else that you request." The admiral then stares into the image of the Egaji forces north of Mozambique. He takes a moment, and then looks at me.

"Lieutenant," He said, his eyes focused on mine. "Other than the Elect, you’re the best we have when it comes to engagements against the enemy. You will accompany the second in command, Commander Troy to the diversion."

"Where is the diversion point?" I asked. The (HMS) goes down about four hundred miles. Numbers begin to appear.

"South of Rwanda, latitude 29degrees, longitude 3degrees. They have to channel in through a tight area to get into Mozambique. Hills to the north and Lake Tanganyika to the south. You will be combating the Egaji head on." There’s a close-up on the valley. "You’re group will come in from the South SE, and form a double arc formation. It will be an exposed first engagement. But after that, following the Swift strategy you will reassemble behind them and flank the remanding forces." I nodded. The Swift strategy. I had first used it on one of Gaia’s moons. It’s a very effective move, but casualties will be high.

"How many with me?" I asked.

"Six thousand blue stripes. Four thousand mobile infantry. Aerial and ground armada. Ten elect, including Commander Troy." The Admiral waved his hand again. The (HMS) shut down. "We need you to stop the Egaji long enough for us to recover the weapon Lieutenant."

"How much time do you need?"

"As much time as you can give us." He said. "If necessary complete annihilation of their Armada."

There have existed only a few days in my life that everything made sense to me. These moments are as rare as they are beautiful. I think that we were all born with a mission to fulfill; these instances of clarity are your mission being realized. It was three in the morning and the landing pad of the base was pitch-black. There were about five hundred Sky Hawk Carriers stationed there. I looked up and saw a lushness of stars all scattered. It was truly breathtaking.

"Nice aren’t they?" A voice said from behind me. It was the Admiral.

"Very nice" I said back. He walked up next to me he had his arms folded. "When all this is over, do you think that we will want to venture out there again? He thought good and long about it.

"I think that Humans are a special thing. I also think that a good chunk of the Universe is like the Egaji. Cold, uncompassionate. I also believe that this is our first test as a race, against the first of many evils to fight us." He looked to me.
