Delta, Zulu, Plato." I said into my communicator. "Egaji Alpha Drones found to be equipped with Valonian armor. Weak points are as followed. Legs, Tail underbelly. And the most popular of all, a well-induced head shot. Good luck gentlemen, Plato out." Some crackling and static was heard.

"Blue Stripe 37 here Plato," Said the firm voice from the field. "We are wondering if you guys brought plenty of B.B.Q. sauce; we plan to have lots of meat for a nice Egaji roast tonight." I almost laughed out loud.

"Blue Stripe 37," I replied. "We have crates of B.B.Q. sauce up here. You just keep your end of the bargain."

"Will do, sir." I looked over at the Commander. Both of us smiling. "What do we have to do for a couple crates of beer

Lieutenant?"

"You’ll have to wait for the victory party for that." The voice laughed. "Plato out."

By now a clearer picture was being seen. Behind the Alpha Drones came a vast Armada of hover craft. Egaji Tanks, and aircraft. Alongside them were the Omega Drones. You could tell, because of the silver reflection bouncing off their armor. All and all, the numbers were about the same as ours. Slowly and over the next five minutes, we held position. A soft humming could be heard coming from them.

No doubt that by now, they could see us as well. It was a weird morning, not entirely day yet, but everything glowed. Maybe it was just me, but I now felt that I was in some sort of dream. Every small movement felt more enhanced, every word spoken seemed to echo into forever. I looked over to Commander Troy. He put on his helmet; I could see myself off the reflection. For a brief moment I couldn’t recognize myself. I tried pulling myself together, there they were now. All lined up in position as well. For what seemed a long while they didn’t move. They stood there, almost as if something wasn’t permitting them to move any further. I was waiting on Commander Troy to give the order, but he just stood. For an instant I was surprised at the feeling of solitude I had. This feeling was uneasy on me as I watched everything. Our ground forces stood silent as well, for a second a thought came into my head. Why can’t I hear anything? I felt something dangling next to me now; it was the MARKS dagger the Commander had given me. I pulled it out something wasn’t right. I looked at my reflection on it. What the hell? My face had something red glowing over my eyes. I looked at my reflection, disgust in my face. What was this? I thought. Then I looked at everyone once more, no one has moved at all in the last couple of minutes. I almost lost it when I realized what was going on. Something was controlling what I saw! I rushed over to the Commander, and shook him.

"Commander" I yelled. "Something’s wrong!" As this happened I felt something breakaway from me. It was as if I had been in a mental lock. In one sudden snap, the landscape changed. Two seconds ago, everyone was in their position waiting for our command. Now, I saw our men overrun with Egaji forces. It’s as if the wool had been pulled from my eyes; something was keeping the Commander and I in a trance so we wouldn’t attack first.

"Commander!" I yelled again. The Commander fell backwards with this one. He looked up at me, confused.

"Lieutenant..." He looked down at the landscape.
