"Now here she is, the river of independence and reason, those two warriors who you dismissed me for enjoining. Now here she is, the source of all your devotion and everything you should want. Now here she is Lord. Will you take her?"

"Truly, Lucifer, I do not know what to think, for your realm of values and self achievement is beyond me so that I am now unsure of how to address their need. To me it seems I am anxious and quick to marry Eve and I can think of no other. I will have her if she agrees."

Then Eve spoke.

"I thought our engagement was impossible until I heard you speak just now. I have marked a change in you that I did not believe from Lucifer when he told of it. You have become an explorer. You now demand what you have condemned! I am sure that all of Heaven must shake, but it will not fall. Only grow stronger with your maturity. I have seen it happen in Lucifer’s realm and now I shall nurture Heaven itself in this change."

"Oh, dear, sweet Eve- come to me!"

Eve took her place beside the Lord as Lucifer looked on. He saw her change from an eternal woman to an eternal wife. Truly, there was something good before him and this made Lucifer smile; a tear formed in his eye. He watched Eve and the Lord gaze into each other’s eyes a moment more before slipping away and returning home.

This story was about the liberation of God.
