Gypsy's Bargain. by Vadim Berenson
Once a Gypsy girl met with God,
God was drinking without measure,
And she asked, what the God has got
In exchange for her night of pleasure.
First God offered to her the World
Then deep coffers with priceless treasure...
World is empty, she said, gold is cold!
I need more for my night of pleasure.
God has offered to her long life,
Just one step from being immortal
She said, look at me, I'm twenty five
And don't care to live much past thirty!
God proposed to her great fame
Adoration of fans full measure
But the Gypsy girl said, all the same
I want more for my night of pleasure.
And the God finished-up his shot,
Chased it down with a cup of coffee...
He said sadly, I don't think I've got
What you need... here's my last offer:
I see feral bonfires in your soul
All the bottomless Hell on wheels,
I'm willing to jump and fall
In your fire to make this deal.
Gypsy said, now you ring my bell!
And her smile was broad and mean...
From that day in her soul's Hell
Lives a God, who is trapped within.
