BILLY STEELE: KID RANGER, IRON HORSE VS. IRON GIANTS by Spell Binder
Page 9 of 10 The mad scientist dropped the golden spike from her sinister hands and Iron
Hand fell to the ground as the power that held him was hurled from his
tormentor’s hands.
She squirmed and screamed like a mad animal but the power of the warrior’s
magic lasso continued to imprison her. Silver Spears then led the metal
desperadoes in an attack against the Lightning Warrior. The robot launched his
deadly barrage of spears from his arms at the Indian super god. But the
warrior’s simple wooden shield, endowed with tremendous magic, repelled the
assault. The heavy metal spears were blasted to scraps upon impact. The
warrior’s Thunderhawk was hurled at the robot. The Warrior, with the strength
of 1,000 tribesmen, threw his enchanted tomahawk at his metal challenger. Boom!
The silver, killer robot exploded, its gears and motors were torn asunder.
Golden Gun pointed his mighty cannon arms at the warrior’s heart. Faster
than the cheetah, and with more strength than the grizzly bear, mountain lion
and roaring tiger combined, the lone Indian drop kicked the robot before it
could fire. The force from the warrior’s legs drove the humongous robot to the
ground, where it crashed among the rocky cliffs and was destroyed. Its head
rolled from the cliff and landed in the avenging waters.
It seemed the warrior was stronger than ever upon his resurrection. But from
behind, Copper Claws sank his horrific hooks into the warrior’s tender throat
and cut his air supply. Alloy Axes spun his axe like a deadly pinwheel, ready
to decapitate the warrior. Bronze Blades had his giant knives ready to thrust
at the warrior’s chest while Steel Shields prepared his razor sharp circle of
death to castrate the warrior’s crotch.
Once again, it looked like the inhuman robots would defeat the magic that
comes from the heart. But with all the power he could muster, Iron Hand threw
his body, like a football tackle, against the killer robots swarming the
warrior. The ground shook under the US troops’ feet as all the robots thudded
to the ground like a landslide. Swiftly, Iron Hand grabbed the fallen golden
spike, still full of power. He let fly a blazing bolt punch that struck Copper
Claws right between its eyes with a fist more punishing than a hundred Mike
Tysons. The robot tumbled over and over until it crashed in a deep ditch miles
away.
Now free from its grasp, the warrior used his ceremonial mask to imagine him
self to be the mightiest of whirlwinds. His gusts blew apart Alloy Axes, Bronze
Blades and Steel Shield. The swirling, savage winds lifted the doomed robots of
heavy metal thunder miles above the Earth and then propelled them to a far off
universe in the skies above.
Such a turbulent wind blew the soldiers from their feet and left them
sprawled on the ground. Iron Hand, realizing the soldiers wanted to destroy him
handed the golden spike to the warrior and seized the opportunity to escape. He
tearfully threw a goodbye kiss to Lupe and she tearfully blew some love towards
him. Iron Hand knew if he stayed, he would endanger Lupe. This fugitive then
condemned him self to wander the west alone in search of acceptance.
From above, the warrior could see Col. Tim riding towards the scene and he
quickly flew to earth and used his black arrowhead to become Billy Steele. The
Col. joyously scooped his son up upon his mount and pretending not to cry, the
square-jawed officer hugged his son with loving pressure.
"White Eagle saved me dad," Billy said excitedly, "It’s like I have two
fathers watching out for me." Still stunned by the day’s events, the Col. just
basked in the love of the moment. Next Page Copyright © 1999, 2000, 2001 Spell Binder, sffworld.com. All rights reserved.
