BILLY STEELE: KID RANGER (2 ratings) by Spell Binder
Page 16 of 19 Billy had the torrents of Rain at his command, all of the beauty and
strength of Natures Animals were infused in his body, the cosmic power of the
Moon was in Billys arsenal, the heat of the Sun became Billys war brother,
the wrath of Fire would help Billy blaze new trails to victory, Billy had the
strength of the Earth itself, and finally Billy as the Lightning Warrior called
the gusts of the great Winds his very own. He "morphed" into the phantom
protector of the plains, as he unleashed his prairie thunder. White Eagle, The
Manitou of the past, passed his power on to Billy Steele, The Lightning Warrior
of the future.
Billy himself, now The Lightning Warrior in full magnificence, stood over
six feet tall, a strapping adult adorned in the shadowy black of a phantom
avenger armed with an array of mighty weapons along with the strength of one
thousand tribes men. Billy, now reborn as The Lightning Warrior, had a powerful
lance, spear and shield, tomahawk, bullwhip, lariat, magical bow and arrows and
wrist bands that thrust pure energy bolts-all the same magical weapons The
Manitou had wielded. The Lightning Warrior resembled the mythological Norse God
of thunder, Thor, but Billys super alter ego wore a black mask and pitch-black
cape to strike a ghostly fear in his enemys heart.
Even Billys pets had new, amazing powers. Swifty, his pony became a great,
white steed, The Thunder Rider. And accompanying this super stallion into
battle, Billys puppy, Lasses, became the great wolf war dog The Lone
Defender.
Armed with his new magnificent magic, Billy, now The Lightning Warrior,
majestically mounted his Thunder Rider, and with The Lone Defender by his side,
he galloped to Mesa City to save his family. The trees, canyons and the golden
West itself shook and rumbled as The Lightning Warrior roared to the rescue!
"I am the thunder from Gods country, taking your world by storm," was The
Lightning Warriors parting words to his new mentor, White Eagle. Billys
battle cry vibrated throughout the Earth, heavens and beyond.
Lightning, thunder, Natures fury itself powered the galloping hooves of The
Thunder Rider. The white stallion brought his super heroic, magnificent and
majestic master through the winds of the wastelands to the no mans land once
called Mesa City.
Inside the once flourishing mining community, helpless settlers and their
families watched the tyrannical Black Hangman and his legion of desperado
followers as they led Holts Rangers to their gallows doom. Mesa Citys lawmen
had fallen to the Hangmans gunfire. Mesa Citys citizens, as owners of a rich
silver mine, were targeted by the hooded menace. The Hangman would take the
entire town hostage. He enslaved its citizens, and forced them to mine the
silver for the Hangmans wealth and to fund the Trinity Of Terrors plans to
overthrow the US government.
Such a perverted show of executing innocent men had not been seen since the
French Revolutions reign of terror when harmless women and children were
beheaded in public while the grotesque rabble cheered. A line of horrific
gallows was built in Mesa Citys town square by the towns fathers, held
hostage. Soon a bound Col. Tim, Big Boy, Jubilee and Salvation, all out
numbered and overwhelmed by sheer evil, were led to their fate. Gleefully, The
Black Hangman ordered his men to tightly close the noose around each cavalryman
victim.
On either side of Mesa Citys borders, the Hangmans guards were posted,
armed to the teeth. The cruel captors only anticipated that they would be
stopping Mesa Citys feeble and weak. In their wildest dreams, they did not
realize they would face the vengeance of a super god. With the cunning of a
wolf to stalk his merciless adversaries, and the strength of the great grizzly
bear, The Lightning Warrior used his massive arm to silence one of the
guards. Next Page Copyright © 1999, 2000, 2001 Spell Binder, sffworld.com. All rights reserved. No part of this may be reproduced or reprinted without permission in writing from the author.
