BILLY STEELE: KID RANGER (2 ratings) by Spell Binder
Page 17 of 19 As other guards poised to attack this miracle rider, The Lone Defenders
canine fangs of retribution sank deeply into the outlaws flesh, and sent them
to their fiery reward.
With the guards now unable to fire warning shots, The Lightning Warrior, the
new, great Indian spirit of the storm was set to exact The Black Hangman to his
swift and blinding brand of justice.
"Ready to die, Ranger scum," The Hangman howled like a mad beast throughout
the towns square. He was about to pull the lever releasing the trap door
beneath the soldiers bound feet.
"You cant kill the greatness and freedom of America," Col. Tim announced
defiantly, "Many more freedom loving men will follow us and rid this great land
of your legion of lawless."
Before The Hangmans hand was about to pull the lever of death, a lightning
arrow blasted the hooded killer from his perch. And he crashed to the ground.
The Hangmans gunmen opened fire on the origin of that arrow of pure electrical
justice--The Lightning Warrior. With the speed of the great hawk and
elusiveness of the mighty Buck, The Lightning Warrior held up his mighty,
invulnerable shield and the flying lead knives of the gunmen bounced off of it
and into the dust.
The Lightning Warrior lassoed the edge of a building and he swung on the
enchanted lariat onto the gallows. His boots went full thrust into the gunmens
mid sections, and knocked them to the hard street below. With a twist of his
wrist, The Lightning Warrior broke the serpent like ropes that imprisoned Holt
s Rangers, and saved the cavalrymen from the gallows wrath. The freed horse
soldiers quickly armed themselves with the outlaws abandoned guns, and as the
townspeople watched in awe, the uniformed victims of wickedness became an
avenging force for freedom.
Soon, the once helpless townspeople, and the soldiers sent to liberate them,
joined forces and began to take back Mesa City in a furious battle. But swarms
of The Black Hangmans men stood their evil ground, determined to enslave the
people, steal the silver and murder the symbols of justice themselves.
"Cut em down," the Hangman hysterically screamed through his shrouded lips.
As his gunmen unleashed their barrage, The Lightning Warrior fired his bolts of
pure energy from his enchanted wristbands, and left the blasted outlaws
sprawled in the dirt, motionless.
More mad men attacked the Warrior. But he used his magical bullwhip to
inflict a lash rightful retribution upon each challenger. Crack! Crack! Crack!
Those outlaws not ground to dust by the whip scattered like scared mice from
this frontier firebrands fury.
From a wooden balcony high above the street, snipers shot at the Lightning
Warrior, who fought side by side with Col. Tim. Col. Tim glanced at this
avenging angel while in the heat of battle. And the military man had no idea
that this superhero was his adopted young son merely minutes ago. The masked
marvel hurled his mighty tomahawk at the balcony, and the force from the
magical hatchet struck and devastated the balcony and caused the Hangmans
followers to splat into the street where they were quickly captured by the
enraged townspeople. These meek citizens rallied to fight and became inspired
by the lone, Lightning Warriors courage.
Bang! Bang! Crack! While their six guns blazed, the hangmans horsemen
attempted to stampede The Lightning Warrior and Col. Tim beneath their pounding
hooves. The masked protector of the plains became a fighting whirlwind and
lifted with one hand the horse and gunman, and sent the killer crash landing to
the unforgiving ground. Next Page Copyright © 1999, 2000, 2001 Spell Binder, sffworld.com. All rights reserved.
