The ghostly phantom then lifted another gunman and steed over his head and threw the living weapons down with such force, the Earth shook shockingly.

The Hangman then sent several hay wagons set afire rumbling towards The Warrior. Again, the Lightning Warrior used his energy bolts and lightning arrows and blasted the rolling vehicles of inferno apart. The burning debris, instead of defeating The Warrior, fell upon his fleeing and screaming outlaw army.

The stench of blood and burnt gunpowder hovered over the town as the Hangman, in a desperate last shot at victory, surrounded the Warrior with several of his most fanatical followers-outlaws who had sticks of dynamite strapped around their bodies. These human sacrifices, human homicide bombers, perhaps motivated by fear or greed, foolishly vowed to take the town, and The Warriors life while blowing themselves and their opponents to kingdom come.

Even with The Hangmans six-shooter drawn on him, the Warriors speed and skill with his lance knocked the gun from the hooded horrors hand. The Lightning Warriors mighty fist then flattened the escaped prisoner. The ghoulish hangman, knocked senseless by the hand of justice, was quickly handcuffed by Col Tim. The Hangman vowed revenge as he was returned to jail. The Warrior saw that the Hangmans human bombs had lit their fuses of dynamite. In seconds, Mesa City would explode into a ghost town. But before the suicide bombers could complete their deadly mission, The Lightning Warrior grabbed them and flew skyward as the thunder rumbled. Now far above the Earth, the ghostly avenger hurled the human bombs mightily into the empty desert where they exploded, far away from human life.

The Lightning Warrior rode on a lightning bolt like a heavenly surfer and from his height, he saw Holts Rangers rescue Mesa City. The sabers of Col. Tim, Jubilee Jones and Salvation McCoy rounded up the remaining members of the devils saddle legion. While the super strong Big Boy pummeled more outlaws, the townspeople tied up and jailed the Hangmans defeated hordes. As he descended to Earth, The Lightning Warrior again mounted his steed, The Thunder Rider. Together with his wonderful war dog, The Lone Defender they vanished into the sunset. For as The Lightning Warrior had saved his loved ones lives, and liberated Mesa City, it was now time for the great Indian god to revert back to Billy Steele, kid ranger. The arrowhead once again worked its magic turning the Indian god into an adolescent white boy.

Meanwhile, Jubilee Jones searched for his partner, Oscar, the dummy, which had been kidnapped by the Hangmans forces. The voice thrower found his pride and joy in the sheriffs office used as the villains headquarters. While he examined Oscar for misuse, one half of a map fell from its mouth-this half a map would lead its holder to the black coin, the same black coin that belonged to Billys birth parents, the same coin stolen by The Dark Skull, the same black coin that is Billys legacy. The maps half was wrapped in a note detailing that the coin is indeed the shimmering key to a mine full of awesome power and that the other half of the map to the mine is inscribed in the barrel of the legendary cannon once used by Davy Crockett at The Alamo.

"What are you doing here, young man," the Col. asked Billy as Billy joyously hugged his reunited Ranger family in the middle of the street.

"Miss Cartright wants to see you, Paw," Billy said sheepishly as he related how and why he left school to join his unit.
