The warrior’s fires repelled the demons’ forces as the outlaws burned in agonizing retribution. The wild wrath of God’s strength from all the forces for good vanquished Lucy Fur’s soulless soldiers leaving them consumed by their own flaming evil.

But Lucy Fur could conjure an infinite army of destruction. As more of her evil army emerged from the saloon, they felt the power of the new Dark Skull. He had taken to heart the words of White Eagle and now knew of Lucy Fur’s treachery. The titanic Dark Skull used his gigantic frame to devastate the hellish riders, pounding and pummeling them from their nightmare horses. The Lightning Warrior and new Dark Skull now fought side by side against Lucy Fur. The warrior used his lightning lash to whip the demonic outlaws back to oblivion. The new Dark Skull heaved the demons and their horses across the desert with such force they exploded upon impact.

Enraged at seeing her evil army fall, Lucy Fur, now a towering she devil, hurled a flaming boulder from the depths of hell itself directly at The Lightning Warrior. But before it hit the black caped avenger, the new Dark Skull threw himself in the boulder’s way. The fiery meteor from Hades blasted apart when it hit the new Dark Skull. The flames over came him as Lucy Fur laughed. "This is for betraying me, Sidewinder," she cackled, "I wanted to kill the warrior, but your death is a greater victory!"

The new Dark Skull, using the goodness within him, sacrificed his life to save the life of The Lightning Warrior. As the new Dark Skull’s mask burned from his face, the young face of The Sidewinder emerged. The Sidewinder’s hardness of face seemed to disappear as the supple features of Billy’s older brother came forth handsomely. The Lightning Warrior cradled his former enemy in his arms as he tried to extinguish the consuming flames, but it was too late. From The Sidewinder’s dying hand, he dropped a small cameo. Tenderly, the warrior opened the tiny jewel and saw a photo of The Knox family, Billy Steele’s birth parents, Billy and the older brother he hardly knew. He was the same infant kidnapped by The Trinity Of Terror over a decade before. The essence of Billy Steele within The Lightning Warrior now knew The Sidewinder turned new Dark Skull was his estranged brother; a misguided soul who redeemed himself by saving the warrior’s life

Tears flowed through The Lightning Warrior’s mask as the Sidewinder’s life slipped away from his charred body. "Now it’s your turn," Lucy Fur screamed, as the monstrous she devil was about to hurl another infernal meteor at the warrior. Still distraught over the death of his long lost brother, the emotionally drained warrior was just about to be Lucy Fur’s next victim when the vision of White Eagle stormed through the clouds.

The Lightning Warrior stood stunned, poised to accept his death at the devil woman’s hands. Perhaps he wanted to join his parents and older brother in the realm of death where they will be reunited in the vast unknown. But he remembered his destiny, his mission, his sacred promise to protect his pioneer people and the land he loves from the ravages of evildoers. Perhaps a greater power guided him into being his family’s sole survivor and commander of the unimaginable power hidden in the depths of his parents’ lost mine

The instant he made that actualization, the tremendous figure of White Eagle once again imparted his magical gifts upon the warrior’s hands.
