Words of a Dragon (12 ratings) by Bir
Page 2 of 2 Suddenly he remembered his father’s harsh words. "Nobody loves me anymore,"
he thought as tears ran down his cheeks. He was just about to jump down and end
his miserable life when he heard a deep cold voice behind him.
"Why are you crying young man? What’s wrong?"
"Everybody hates me, nobody loves me anymore," said Bill as he turned around
to look at the source of the voice. Bill’s eyes widened in amazement with what
he saw. Right in front of him was an enormous red dragon.
"It’s you," he said. "They didn’t believe me. I knew I saw you for real, I
knew it wasn’t a lie."
The dragon just smiled and said, "You will not like everyone you meet in
this
world Bill, nor will they like you, what matters is that you do not let them
affect your input in life. You do not let their words discourage you for you
are
the master of your soul."

Bill’s parents rushed to the cliff immediately upon hearing from one of
their
neighbors that Bill was last seen there. "Bill," said his father as he
cautiously climbed the cliff. "I’m sorry I love you! Can you forgive me?"
"I Love you too, dad," replied Bill as he wiped the tears from his eyes and
gave his father a huge hug. They were just about to go down together when the
rock that Bill was standing on collapsed, sending him straight down.
The last thing he saw was his mother crying in front off him, then darkness
surrounded him.
Bill slowly opened his eyes. His body was aching but he was glad to see his
parents beside him.
"Doctor he’s awake," said his father with a sign of relief in his voice. A
stout little man in white entered the room with two black sheets of paper.
"We’ll the results from the x-ray have arrived, other than a fractured wrist
I’d say he is perfectly all right now. You gave us a scare didn’t you, champ?"
said the doctor as he examined the x-rays. "Although um there’s one thing I’d
like to talk to you about, outside if you don’t mind."
"What can you say outside that you can’t here?" asked the father. "Its okay
we will handle whatever it is as a family."
The doctor gave a deep sigh and then continued. "We’ll according to the
records, your son was born way too early. That explains why the recent CAT scan
results revealed that his brain was premature. This is a very rare case and the
reason it had gone unnoticed was because it had mild side effects such as
hallucinations, making him see things that weren’t really there was the brains
form of release. An injury in the brain is a very serious matter and as you
probably know, there is no cure for it. What I’m getting at is that he might
not
reach adulthood."

The door creaked as it was silently swung open. Light slowly began to creep
inside the dark room.
"Good Evening Dad," How’s my little angel? I hope he didn’t give you a hard
time."
"Shhh! He’s already asleep," he replied. "You go ahead and rest, he can
sleep
in my bed tonight."
The door then was quietly closed and there was darkness again.
"I never did forget what that dragon said to me that night," said the old
man
to himself as he gently closed his eye lids. "It surely changed my
life."
