Celestial Motivator
         by Blueblood

Thanks to the revolution of the earth
As it tirelessly gyrates around the sun
it brings in cyclic seasons--
rain, snow, mild, and warm--
for all the earth's dirigible inhabitants
So we know when to celebrate
holidays in the coziness of home
and when to bare ourselves out
in the hot sand beaches.
So we know what to eat and what to wear
So we know when to exhange gifts
and season's greetings to share
Trees foliate, fruit, and defoliate
Flowers bud, blossom, and wither
Lakes freeze, melt, and dry
Frogs hibernate, mate, and aestivate
I wonder how delicately we all adapt
to the unsparing sun and transform.
Well, when the earth itself is so reliant,
then how can its inhabitants not be?
