Page 3 of 3 He thought about it then. The poison, or whatever it was. In the
fingertips- nowhere else and only at certain times. He had gotten pretty
good over the years at controlling it but at times it got away from him.
And the other side, the opposite effect from the poison- he couldn't even begin
to think about what it was- probably some unique enzyme like he had read about
in a medical text. But whatever it was, he would try to work on. He
would develop it like he had the poison. He smiled as he thought of
himself down near the beach, sunning and drinking cocktails. The
locals would point with whispered awe- and sometimes someone would come up to
him and say they heard he could heal people.
He liked that thought. He was ready for a change.
