The Lord Of Twelve Dragons (31 ratings)
         by Silver Cantrell

At last her search was over, her life was now ebbing way
She knew he was gone forever , but why, no one would say

Now she lay dying and defeated ,drowning in her own tears
Knowing she could go no further, wanting an end to her fears

She cried out in anger to the Lord of Dragons to ask him ,why
Why had the Silver Dragon left her, and let love pass her by

From far way the Great Lord of Twelve Dragons heard her cry
And with a great roar like thunder he swooped down from the sky

This magnificent Lord , King of the Dragons, from a bygone age
Born of the wind , fire and water, and now filled with deadly rage

He saw the tears on the face, of this beautiful dying princess
And the fire inside him subsided ,his heart filled with tenderness

He vowed to banish the Silver Dragon who had done this thing
To give her back her life again, make her smile, laugh ,and sing

He would take her back to his castle and care for her until then
But he knew that if he did this, he would never let her go again

She opened her eyes and saw him ,and the love showing on his face
Then she knew she would live again, and for her there was a place

He had promised her a journey to somewhere far, to find her dreams
And safe in the knowledge he loved her, discovered what hope means,

He promised her the gargoyles and fairies, and with a wave of his hand
Removed forever from the Silver Dragon, the power he had to command

So the Silver lady will once more be loved and cared for, safe all her life
The Lord of twelve Dragons will never hurt her
Maybe one day she will be his wife..
