The ghosts weren’t able to protect MaL from the murderer, because he was an unstoppable human. The only people that can stop him were the police. & they really weren’t even on the case. So the murderer could get away with killing MaL easily.

When MaL went outside in the dark in the neighborhood, she saw an old man with a cane. She decided to help him but before she came to him, he was stabbed constantly by the murderer who killed her best friend Cindy.

MaL ran into her lonely house as soon as she saw the killer. But she had no chance surviving. Her parents weren’t home & the killer found a sneaky way into the house. When he got into MaL’s house, he saw her in the kitchen as he jumped on the counter, swung his knife in his hand at MaL as he fell on the floor.

MaL ran up to her bedroom on the 2nd floor up the stairs as the murderer followed. He swung the knife at MaL as he chased her & fell off the stairs. MaL ran to her room, locked the door, & hid in the closet. She just stood in the closet breathing slowly then fast.

In her situation now, the question would be "Is she going to die or survive?" That question can only be answered by the killer & the future now…

As MaL stood in her closet scared, the murderer got up, went up stares, looked around, saw MaL’s door, cut his way through the door with his knife, went in & walked to MaL’s closet. He opened the closet door as he didn’t look down until MaL kicked him, pushed him down & ran out her room.

MaL then ran down stairs & went into her mother’s room where she did see someone lying in here mom’s bed. But it was so dark that she wasn’t sure. She was so unsure that she even asked "Mom? Is that you? Cindy?" But when MaL got close enough to that person, he grabbed her. & the person turned out to be the murderer.

The murderer got his knife as he stabbed MaL constantly until she died. Then he stuffed her corpse into a bag, took her bagged corpse to his backyard & took off his mask before he buried her. He turned out to be Cindy’s cousin, & the reason he killed MaL, Cindy & the old man was because he believed that they were evil. His name was Melvin.

8 years later, Melvin was captured. He was then taken to Jail but MaL’s body was never discovered in his backyard. No one found her body. Or her best friend Cindy’s body. They thought they found her body but it was mistaken for someone else’s body…

Years later to year 2002; a little boy named Anthony was moving to a new city. He was a very quiet little 9 year old boy with glasses & the 2 same special gifts as MaL & Cindy. So he could read people’s minds & see ghosts too. In fact, he even lived in that same house that Melvin did. So He lived in the house where Cindy & MaL were buried.

He even knew how to use the gifts he was given of reading thoughts & seeing ghosts.
