Gawhn (2 ratings) by CB
Page 1 of 1 Con sat on the yellow thatched roof with his legs crossed, he looked down at
the small village of Krahm. It was a dinky little village high in the Blue
Mountains, which had a beautiful view of the valley. Krahm was set on a great
ledge on the side of the Blue Mountains. Con was deeply troubled; he wanted to
be a soldier in the Royal Army, the elite fighting force for the land of Gawhn.
He certainly had the strength and courage to fight; he was probably one of the
strongest people in the village Con had black hair that touched his shoulders
and deep blue eyes with tan skin, he wore brown shirt that was made of hide and
green cotton pants and black boots. He looked very strong and intimidating, but
there was only one problem. His father would never let him, he already tried
asking but he always got the same answer of "No you belong here not out in some
wasteland fighting worthless battles" he said, His father was a very strict man
he never let Con do anything fun or strange. He worked for King of Gawhn, who
was a very strong wealthy man who always needs help to make decisions because
all he new how to do was fight. He is one of the Kings many Philosophers who
sat around the King and suggested ideas, of course the king never listened he
didn't need advisors, if their was a problem he thought war would solve it. His
father went to the Kings Palace for a week then came back home for a week, he
did this because the village of Krahm is about a half day from Gawhn city were
the Kings Palace was. Gwahn city was very large it has many fortresses and
houses and temples; it was pretty nice for a large city.
Con got up he was thinking in his mind what if I went to Gawhn city wile dad
is gone he would never know I left the house and I could sign up for the Royal
Army in the city and by the time he got home I would be gone. Yes he whispered
out loud. Con ran to the steps that led down stairs into the living room. When
he got down stairs he saw his father sitting around a large table in a big oak
chair. His father had long gray hair down to his shoulders; he had a Sharpe
looking face with a long pointy chin at the time he was wearing a Red robe with
the shape of a green dragon on the back; that was the sign of a philosopher.
Con stopped suddenly and almost fell over him self. "What do you think you
are doing, you should be reading now" Con forgot he was supposed to be reading,
he sutured "uh I ah finished" His father looked at him strangely. "Are you
sure" he said, " Yes father I finished" Then he walked to the front and out the
door.
