- Moonlight

Moonlight (5 ratings)
         by Thanh Chau

I sit here thinking about you
I can't ingnore it, there's nothing I can do.
You're all I ever dream about.
I feel this fire burning, it never goes out.
I imagine you sitting next to me on a moon-lit night.
You holding onto me ever so tight.
Never wantting you to let go of me.
Truely, we were meant to be.
I wish for this moment to never past.
I want you to be my first and last.
I turn to look at you once more.
I can't believe I'm the one you most adore.
I bring your warm body closer to mine.
I ask you if you mind, you say it's just fine.
we smile and turn back to the dotted sky.
I say quietly to myself, " I love you"
you turn and respond, " I do too"
I gaze deep into your sparkling eyes.
I see that you don't tell any lies.
You hold my hand, and bring it up to your heart.
I say that I will always be there there, and never part.
We give each other a gentle kiss.
That was a moment I'm glad I will never miss.
Together forever I know we will be.
Everlasting, just you and me.
