There was a small commotion among the others at the table.
"Do not speak unless spoken to," sounded in Clint's mind.
Clint glanced around to see who had sent him that message. Turning around,
he caught Techem's eye, and he decided it must have been her.
"I do not know your primitive vocal language. I merely repeated sounds you
uttered to me while I read your thoughts."
Clint turned back to see Jlenga's eyes on him. He dared not respond,
wondering if he might be on trial.
"You have an undisciplined, child-like mind. So transparent, and yet so
chaotic."
Clint felt uncomfortable, wondering how much about him they already knew. He
again felt as naked as when he had first seen her.
She continued, "We know that you want to help us. Please allow us to ask
some questions, to fill in the places where your mind is fuzzy to us."
