The Love Talker by Kelli Clark
Embodiment of dreams unfulfilled
His presence slips through me like the sands of Morpheus
The soul of unrequieted love
His bottomless eyes reflect my soul and not his own
Where does my identity end and his begin?
He is the razor's edge between water and fire
Fall over one side, you burn
The other, you drown
His touch, both fire and ice
His words, ecstacy and insanity
His kiss, life and death
His sex, heaven and hell
Which will you choose?
He gathers power from the hearts he has stolen,
Never to return
Love Talker - do you love? Do you dream?
