Earthsong (6 ratings) by Gary Clinton
When men have gone,
Spread their wings;
And touched the stars
Lord; I know you'll still spin.
Out where space is black
and new worlds whirl by,
(Like diamonds in black gold
Hidden in an old mans fold)
From there, there is no way,
No track back.
Some men hug you
And you think
These children will never go or change.
But like all children
They must stray;
And when they come back,
They come back strange.
For they have seen you from far away,
And Lord,
You were no more than a pin.
