Queen By Heart (6 ratings) by Megan Corkern
The waves wash ashore my feet dig in the sand
nothing seems right there's a dark cloud over the land
I trust you know what I feel and see
but even so you didn't believe in me
I'm not your queen but you didn't listen
you turns away not to see my tears glisten
I touched you and tried to comprimise
but you turned away all caught up in lies
Gold is not what I need to be alive
dresses and silver and waited on all the time
All I wanted was my love, burned at the stake he was
you were jealous of the love between us
I hate you king and I don't want you gold
I don't want anything for my love you sold
I give you this in return for the greed you showed me
a star that will one day fall at your very feet
Because then your star will be gone
and then YOU dear king will be all alone
