Aquamarine (8 ratings) by Stephen W. Cote
Aquamarine silver dream
Invaders to the papacy
Of his sepulchral privacy
Cautious of the world
A communique by slight of hand
The creature reached out and then he ran
Deep into the dream machine
In which they'd arrived
He stumbled upon the secret plans
They planned to invade his home land
He stole out into the night
To warn the world they'd arrived
The heuristically-written alien scheme
Had infected his sanity
He blazed his way down a gravel road
To the safety of a neighboring home
Now, keep in mind, he spoke in code
He said "the commie-pinko faggots are down the road"
"Give me a shotgun and a magnum load"
"And I'll blast their Siberian ass."
Courage in his hand, bravery in a shell
He decided he'd blast the aliens to hell
He stole up on the ship
So close he couldn't miss
An aquamarine alien being
As friendly as could be
Was killed by some guy who never finished third grade
Because he didn't understand.
