Cursed by Carolyn Cox
Water like a mirror
Reflecting heavens light
I'll gaze into your depths
And find my soul bound tight.
Trapped within the water.
Like a bird with a broken wing.
A curse that lasts forever.
What pain betrayal brings.
For sake of a forbidden love.
I'm the curse of a mothers daughter.
Whose heart was torn assunder.
In the midst of a mindless slaughter.
I've seen one hundred battles.
And felt anothers fears.
I've wandered emerald forests.
And lived one thousand years.
Waiting for my freedom.
A curse that lasts forever.
No love can overcome.
