Poems
- Signals

Signals
         by Leigh Cramer

This world is not enough for me
A barren landscape of pretend visions, doorways and the occasional hall
Save me from this loneliness or life
Lead me into a world for just you and me

My heart is failing in my chest
A damaged device that cannot bear the weight I load on it
Bring me out of this world into one of light
I know you are out there, different than the rest

My soul leaves my mind to take the slack
A feeble replacement allowing me no grasp on the world
Give my mind a new purpose, bring back my soul
This is what I know but I also know you are what I lack
