As she reaches the door, she slowly looks up at him and her eyes fill up with tears. Ever since the first day of High School, she knew she was in love. As she stands there waiting and hoping that maybe he'll say something, begging her not to go, she's reminded of the first time she saw him...
The way he was standing, the way he moved his mouth, the color of his eyes, and how his blonde hair laid forward and was spiked a little in the front. As she walked closer to him she could hear him laugh. He slowly turned until he was facing her. As he caught her eye, a lazy smile crept upon his sun-tanned face. As her cheeks grew red she kept walking, but she could his eyes upon her back, almost like he was studying her. She turned on one foot and he was right behind her.
"Hi, I'm Matt, and you are?"
"H-H-i, I'm BreAnnon, but my friends call me Bree."
"I think I've seen you around, said Matt."
"Umm, I don't think so. I just moved here a week before school started."
"Really? Because I don't think I could forget a smile like yours."

Bree's face grew red again.

"Um well m-maybe so, you could have seen me out with my friends."
"You make friends fast...So what grade are you in?" asked Matt.
"I'll be in ninth...what about you?" she stammered.
"Junior...Ya know...Upperclassmen...we usually get to pick on the lowerclassmen..." he laughed.
"I'm only messing with you." he said.
"Sooo...can I have your number?" he asked

She laughed at Matt's bright red ears, and she could feel her heart melt as he lightly brushed against her hand.

"S-sure...it's um 713-8876."
"Thanks. Well how about I walk you to your next class.?"
"Ok."

That became their everyday thing. He always walked her to class. Finally that Friday he asked if he could take her out. He drove her to the beach in his convertible mustang. They spent all night talking about friends, school and their lives. They told about each others embarrassing moments, and talked about her hometown and how much she liked it here. As they were walking back to the car, she said,

"I had so much fun tonight Matt, more than I've had in along time, thanks for showing me what it's like to feel special."
"Anything just to see you smile." and then he kissed her.

Bree knew at that moment, that she was falling in love. He's what she had been waiting for, for a very long time. Someone to sweep her off her feet, and that's exactly what he did. They spent the next few months practically glued together. Pretty soon Bree's freshman year was coming to an end, and she was still madly in love with Matt. They were perfect for each other, and they knew it. They spent that summer with each other every day. Growing to love each other more and more. Soon summer was coming to an end also. BreAnnon was a little sad because it had all gone by so fast, but she didn't care as long as she had Matt. Well, while BreAnnon was so worried about Summer's end, Matt was planning their one year anniversary gift. The night that they first met was exactly the first day of school. So instead of celebrating on the first day of school, he saved it until that Friday. The day that they actually had their first date. Matt blind-folded her, and walked her to his car, and drove her down to the same spot where they had their first kiss. As he helped her out of the car he told her, "Wait here."
He ran to get the blanket, and spread it out over the sand. Then he went back to get the roses, and sat them carefully on the blanket and went back for Bree. As they walked towards the blanket he had set up, he asked,
