Tutankhamun stood just behind the creature, a smug, yet somehow uncertain smirk on his unusually puffy face. At first, Lindsey thought he had darkened his lower lids with kohl, but then realized that his eye sockets were just horribly dark underneath...as though he were ill.

From behind the sickly, smirking Tut stepped yet another creature, nearly identical to the one who now stood only inches from Lindsey's face, forcing her gaze upon him as his glassy eyes blinked side to side like that of a lizard.

Opening her mouth to scream, Lindsey was horrified when no sound came forth. The slanted gaze and hideous countenance consumed her as she stood before the man-creature. His bluish-green skin covered in small, barely definable scales glinted in the muted glow of the room behind him.

With sweat rolling down her temples, and blood drying on her legs and knees, Lindsey tried desperately to tear her riveted gaze from the yellow eyes of this demon, who's stare seemed to be rendering her body incapable of obeying the commands of her mind.

"So like the sons and daughters of man," hissed the creature slowly, his 'S's lingering long after the words had been spoken. "When in the face of fear, your first instinct is to pull away and run, instead of standing and fighting for your own puny lives?"

She couldn't breathe; she had lost her baby and would die here at the hands of this hideous creature. Too weak to defend herself against the attack, Lindsey went limp and submitted to her own death.
