I Stand Before The Grouping Of Two Lies by Alfonso Diaz Ii
I stand before the grouping of two lies
The men and women staring back with fear
The young and old startled and surprise
As I close my eyes and feel those words draw near
The trembling tone begins to ease
While people shuffle their faces solemn
A generation condemned for apathy
While I stand firm as Heavens column
And what I say is shame on thee
Settling for a never lasting life
Drinking, singing, impassivity
While the world burns and writhes in strife
