The Creature of Darkness: Prologue

In the misty ville of a continent, lies a wretched corpse entwined with gore and macabre. The small village lies desecrated, destroyed and desolate, oblivious of the peaceful faces once living here, except for that one particular corpse which reeks of undeath and horror to the living.

The corpse, dressed in old woven silk and samurai plates, got up slowly, trembling and vibrating in its unsatisfied resting place. The elaborate mask wrapping its face fell to the sullen ground, in its place revealing a face scarred and deathly pale complexion. Its eyes burn in a never-ending red, which seemingly protrudes flames from its sockets.

Pulling out its katana from a lifeless woman, spreading black blood around him in a grotesque manner, the dark warrior gripped its sword with renewed unearthly strength. Slashing at the heaps of bodies strewn around his legs; while strangely enjoying this sadistic act of flogging the fallen, a peasant lying a few feet away drew his flintlock musket and shot the creature of darkness with fear.

The dark warrior received the shot in the chest violently; scraps of the plates flew and the impact made the warrior hammer unto the corpses. It lies on the ground motionless, for a few seconds scraping its clawlike hands on the ground?
