Assassination (4 ratings) by Dru
Page 2 of 2 Although what happened after that seemed like a blur I will never be able to
forget it. I remember the interrogations and all the people who claimed to have
seen me shoot the president. After what seemed like forever I was allowed to
see
an attorney.
He said he could get me out of the charges. He claimed he believed me and
that he would make sure that I got out of the charges. All his claims and
promises where lies. Unfortunately I believed every bit of it.
The trial was an unfair one to say the least. Everyone I knew lied. My
commanding officers claimed they had never seen me before. They did everything
they could to ruin my slim chances of getting out of trouble. Rioters had
killed
my mother before she got a chance to be brought down to see me.
They had me listed under so many different charges it was unbelievable. They
even had me for stealing the gun I used to shoot the president. When the jury
went out it took them under 10 minutes to find me guilty of every charge.
During
sentencing it only took them 15 minutes to sentence me to death.
Appeal after Appeal was shot down. Now as I walk to the lethal injection
chamber I realize that it really it all over. I was played for the perfect
fool,
if only I hadn’t been such a good shot. But the time for if’s and but’s is
gone.
If only I hadn’t shot JFK from the "grassy knoll" on that beautiful November
day.
