Star Journey (2 ratings) by Meaghan Duke
Cradled in the heaven's breast
With promise of peace and soothing rest
A young moon clings a'glitter
While the stars are all a'dancing
Through the universe they're prancing
And awe those who are upward glancing
On a winter night most bitter
Twirling they go through constellations
Heedless of our consternation
They throw their veils to trail behind
Then to Earth they come a falling
Miming snow amidst their sprawling
And to our singing hearts they're calling
Of the joy they're out to find
Cradles in his mother's breast
With promise of peace and soothing rest
A young child clings asleep
While the stars are softly singing
Through the universe they're winging
And to open hearts are bringing
bliss for those who too oft weep
