Time's Road (2 ratings) by Meaghan Duke
Here I stand at the death of time
Memories reach from beyond the veil
The future is naught but an un-dared line
With winds on whom I soon shall sail
I fling myself to the timeless abyss
Wings outstretched to catch a breeze
And leave a place I cannot miss
To bask in the warmest of all the seas
Here I stand at the birth of time
And the future stretches broad and bold
I pause for a moment to make my mind
To travel along the unknown road
A journey begins with a single step
But it is one I can never erase
And even as onto the road I crept
I knew not what I would face
Now I stand in the middletime
And life flows on round me anew
And my spirit shall intertwine
With a special destined few
Now I walk through my new life
The road reaching beyond my ken
And though tis filled with constant strife
I contentedly wait for the next bend
Through the barriers that connect all life
I feel what was, that which has been
And I can find my place within this world
Knowing what two sets of eyes have seen
