Dripping by Dia Elliott
The blood is dripping
It stopped, but is flowing again.
I shall ask you once more
And it shall be the end.
The end to some pain
But the beginning to some more.
The pain will quickly go away
Life will be better than before.
Blood or teeth?
You have to choose.
If you do not
Blood you will lose.
The blood is unevenly distributed
Between two special people.
One is tearing down a church
The other is building a steeple.
The steeple has more blood
For as it builds, it gains.
But as the church is coming down
Each brick causes more pain.
You have chosen the teeth
But is it what you need?
To get the lost blood back
With doctors you must plead.
The blood may be lost for good
It may be able to be retrieved.
But will your heart, your body
Your mind and soul be relieved?
You say without the blood you'll die
But you favour the teeth, it seems.
Now the blood is dripping faster
Blood isn't what you want to need.
So I see your decision
Don't take for granted your last day.
Goodbye family, farewell friends
Your life is dripping away.
