In Your Eyes by Dia Elliott
Goodbye to you, farewell
the end has finally come.
Good times we've shared together
Our relationship is done.
The worst crime you commited
Wasn't stealing my heart.
It was cheating on me
And slowly prying us apart.
It's not just the cease of a relationship
But the ending to mortal pain.
You're taken everything I had
Human emotions I will have to regain.
It's perfectly all right
What you've put me through.
Now I know rarely to trust
Anyone, especially you.
Your best friend claims he loves me
Isn't it so grand?
Instead of caressing, if offered
I'd mutilate your hands.
It's what you've done to my hear, my soul
My life will foreve be incomplete.
You've found just another one to 'love'
There's no reason to compete.
You're told me we'd be together
That was one of your many lies.
I could see through your lust, your words
It was all there in your eyes.
