Life Goes On
         by Dia Elliott

You say you want me forever
You claim you love me alone-
But I'm being the more mature one
And I'm stepping out on my own.

I don't need you to support me
Friends can do that much better-
Though the friends are few
They carry more love than ever.

I'm no longer devoted to you
You've caused me too much pain-
The only good thing you've done for me
Was to constantly push me away.

Now that I've gotten the picture
By you, I am no longer trapped-
It's better if you're out of my life for good
Until you can earn my trust back.

I hate you for killing me inside
But I love you with all of my heart-
You've hurt me so much I can't bear it
And now, it's our time to part..
