Begats

Begats

If
there is
enough time
enough hydrogen
and it moves enough
collides to maybe coalesce
in random pockets here and there
a foam of dissipative structures far from equilibrium,
then from this it's downhill to the birth of stars,
to cores of planetary systems despite the improbabilities
everywhere, but here where in fact
they did condense to us,
so this much is clear:
H begat He, then
begat C and O
who met N
and so it
goes
if.
