Poems
- Evelyn's Aftermath

Evelyn's Aftermath
         by Ziggy Fontain

I'm all out of cigarettes,
need to find some air to breathe
all my hope is gone now
I've got nothing up my sleeve
my ambition is running on empty
apathy has taken over at the wheel
all my dreams have flown
and I can't help the way I feel
we've all been down this road before
with wounded hearts and shattered souls
it's paved with good intentions
and all of our unrealized goals
