I Love This Game, Ace. by Daniel Garcia
Page 1 of 1 Luca suddenly stood up and saw the yellow ball spinning right at him,
challenging him to hit it as hard as he could. He thought, He moved, he hit.
What a hit. The ball swung up and quickly fell sounding as if lightning had
struck heaven. God might as well help me win this game, he couldn’t be such a
bad person, anyway I thought he was pretty cool, although I’d never seen him
around. I didn’t go to church, i had to play sports, it was so boring to sit
around doing nothing while i could play soccer and kick the shit out of Rony.
He always stood up for his rights, poor kid fighting against himself.
Bedazzled. Well, so the ball came and i hit it well and i won. Wow. What a
game, tennis. Such a boring sport I thought as Frank told me about this amazing
sport, tennis. Yeah sure, cut it off i said to him, knock it, tennis ain’t that
good, it sucked.
So as we went off to do some swimming while Frank kept choosing which
underwear he would wear to the prom, tht was actually that night. So as he
figured out what he wanted to wear, actually he chose a red trouser, anyway he
had already told me we would meet up at the pool. Mom was there, All the guys
where there, but Frank wasn’t, what a looser. So I called him up and he said
he’d go play some tennis. Sure I said go get rotten and eaten up with bore. So
i finally finished swimming and my exhaustment turned me on and gave me a push
that told me to go play some tennis. So I did. Tennis was great. That’s when I
started my tennis classes. Dude Work got better, Sex got better, My
responsibility grew, all was just so great, tennis was great. What a sport.
Once again the ball just flew up, as soon as i had to strike it , and as I did
the ball would go from 0 to 120 mph in jut half a second. It was pretty cool.
And I always beat everyone on the court. Since that day i haven’t lost a game,
I make good Money, and I have the time of my life. Play tennis, it makes you
good, it keeps you healthy, it made me a man.
