The electronic waiter dispensed her drink; she paid and thanked the machine. Looking nervously around the packed out huge room the Earthling crossed her toned legs so that an ample glance of her toned thigh would be seen by anyone approaching her table.

And so, in short time she saw someone heading toward her table. He too was of Earth descent, his muscular frame ducked in and out of the various bodies. He faced her the whole time he grew nearer; a game show host smile beaming from his square-jaw line.

Rachella pretended not to notice him, but was unable to stop her foot from moving excitedly from side to side in her high-heeled boot. She had been sceptical about this dubious blind date, but if this was her man; well in!

But life was never that simple, she wouldn?t believe that this hunk was her date until he confirmed that it was so: simple basics of council politics.

As she mused over this the man appeared at her table, and yes his eyes did momentarily fall onto her shining thigh.

?Can I help you?? Rachella fanned her eyelashes.

?Perhaps.? The man?s teeth sparkled as his cheeky grin widened.

Rachella?s eyes ran across his powerful shoulders. ?Well we?ll see if I can.? She spoke softly, sweetly, innocently and provocatively all in one line.

The true sense of his cheeky grin was to be revealed. ?I was wondering if I could talk with you for a short while.?

?Only a short while?? She leant forward and almost fell out of her dress.

The man chuckled and nervously scratched beneath his eye. ?Let me level with you, I?ve lost my wife.?

?I?m sorry to hear that.? Rachella didn?t know whether to be sorry or pleased.

?No it?s not like that.? The man?s eyes took advantage of her leaning forward. ?I mean I?ve lost her somewhere in the bar.?

Rachella screwed up her face in antagonism. ?And I?ll help pass the time??

He smiled once more. ?Its just every time I talk to a beautiful woman my wife appears out of nowhere.?

Before Rachella could respond a high-pitched shriek flew across the bar.

"Albert!!!"

The man, Albert, nodded his head in farewell. ?It was nice meeting you.? And disappeared into the crowd towards the direction his wife had shouted from.

Rachella threw some of the moon juice down her throat in frustration; she was more embarrassed rather than angered. Was that all Rachella was? A pretty girl to make wives jealous? I mean sure, she knew was pretty, in fact her as her lack of modesty would allow she was absolutely stunning. Intelligent too, but there must be something wrong with her otherwise she?d have a man by now.

But what could possibly be wrong with her? She was absolutely flawless; the answer, obvious to many would never occur to her though.

Midst her self-analysis she didn?t even notice that another figure had appeared by her table.

?Rachella?? The enquiry came through a classy accent.

This was promising and she moved her head to face the newcomer. ?Henry?? She almost gasped.

?That?s right.? His voice clear and genteel. ?I apologise that I am late its just I had a few things to sort at work, you know how it is.?

?Yes I do.? Rachella agreed politely.

Henry shuffled across and sat opposite his date. ?Excuse me if I seem a little inexperienced here. I don?t normally do this kind of thing.?

?Oh its fine.? Rachella couldn?t decide whether she was fascinated or disgusted by her date. ?Don?t worry about it.?
